The Best Selling Games for 2005
Market tracking group NPD has released it's lists for the top ten best selling games in the console and PC markets. First up, the console games:

10 LEGO STAR WARS PS2
Do people do anything other than play sports? And in this corner, the PC chart, typed by someone who didn't have their caps lock stuck:

This is going to sound like a wanky "whoa isnt it revealing how most of the top console games are sports while the media constantly complains about video games causing child obesity and not getting enough exercise" kinda comment but, hey, it's a point of interest nonetheless.
Something similar can be said for The Sims 2. I was playing it one night and one of my sims was playing on his computer. My sister walked in and saw me... playing a game... where a guy who looks a little like me... plays on his computer.
She then called me a loser.
I had become my own Charlie Kauffman movie.
Epilogue: Three weeks later she bought The Sims 2 for her boyfriend's PS2.
