Ah, the summer doldrums. You know it's time to shift it into idle when the biggest release of the week is a horse racing simulator. Good news for me, because I've got games to catch up on. Here are the, uh.. highlights of what's coming out today and tomorrow.

• Gallop Racer 2006 (PS2) - "Manage your mount to keep a good position while you save your energy for the finish line." Good advice for more than one leisure activity. $39.99 at Amazon.
• Seed (PC) - This space MMORPG touts the fact that it features no combat whatsoever. Not available at retail, only at the official site.
• Paradise (PC) - A point and click adventure set in the heart of Africa. $35.99 at Amazon.
• Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (PC) - It's a PC port for you non-console ne'erdowells. $44.99 at Amazon.
• Dr. Sudoku (GBA) - A cheap cash-in on the Sudoku and Brain Age fads, but worth looking at just for the box art. $19.99 at EB Games.

The only console games coming out this week are a couple handhelds (one of them being Top Gun for God's sake), Gallop Racer, and two sport hunting games on the Xbox. What the hell. Those and lots of piddling PC releases can be found at the full list below.
