- Bethesda has flat out denied the existence of an Oblivion expansion pack.
- A lengthy interview with IGN goes into more detail about Madden on the Wii, including how multiplayer will work.
- Play-Asia is selling the region-free Saints Row for only $40.
- A Final Fantasy XII sequel will be heading to the Nintendo DS.
- Despite yesterday's rumors, Xfire will not be a part of the PS3's online network. It will be used in Untold Legends, but nothing more.
- The ESA has begun a "Play For Real" voting drive to get older gamers registered to vote.
- Famitsu has revealed that the real name of the Wii's RE game is Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. So you can stop calling it "Resident Wii-vil" now.
- Even before the camera officially goes on sale, people are already starting to have problems with drugs and nudity over the Xbox Live camera.
- Game Videos has a music video for the Lumines II track Heavenly Star.
- Today is the N64's tenth anniversary. Feeling old yet?
- Call of Duty 2 has become the first 360 title to reach one million units in sales.
- A new DS RPG called It's A Wonderful World is on the way, from the creators of Kingdom Hearts.
- Hudson is currently working on 30 titles for the Virtual Console, with some to be ready at launch.
- Q Entertainment has announced Meteos Online.
- Yet another Mana game is heading to the DS, this one titled Heroes of Mana.
- The Marketplace pack to put the 50 prequel characters into Lego Star Wars II will cost 200 points.

I've been reading something about Gears of War being downgraded graphically on 360 or something to that effect... do you know anything about that?

From what I can tell, this rumor has come about from people on gaming forums comparing old screenshots to new ones and declaring that the visuals must have been "downgraded." It seems to be a combination of selective picture choice, comparing images of different resolutions, and comparing images taken from completely different areas. You can see for yourself in these threads, but it just sounds like fanboyism to me.
Certainly, there hasn't been any kind of reputable reporting that the engine was downgraded.

Quite helpful info here. BTW, I think I read a pretty similar article on one more blog today, really i'm pretty sure. I 'll check it out and let you know, maybe they copied your content, who knows.
