Spike TV Makes Dying In A Trench Fun Again

The wise men at Spike TV have had another brainstorm. This time, they're presenting a special episode of Game Head called Call of Duty 3: Challenge. It will feature 16 "unsuspecting" gamers who will compete in physical and mental challenges, allowing them “to see what happens when a game becomes a reality,” according to a Spike TV press release.

Yes. Yes. It will be so awesome to see what World War II would've been like if it had actually happened. Especially being played out via fat nerds climbing ropes. But that's not all!

The episode “combines the heart-pounding action of the best-selling video game franchise with the unscripted drama of the best reality TV,” and the winner gets prizes and “a trip for two to Normandy, France, the setting of so much of the action in the popular game franchise.”

Y'know, I can vaguely recall that something else important was set in Normandy, but I just can't put my finger on it...

You are thinking of Bowser Castle in the Norman Vexin, site of such games as Super Mario Brothers and (with a minor paintjob) Castlevania.
