Seems to mainly be a week for franchises on handhelds.

• Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (PSP) - Set six years after Snake Eater, Portable Ops chronicles Big Boss's departure from the FOX unit and the eventual founding of FOXHOUND. $39.99 at EB Games.
• Kirby Squeak Squad (DS) - More Kirby platforming, more Kirby abilities. $34.99 at EB Games.
• Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (DS) - More Castlevania exploration, more Castlevania femmy guys. $34.99 at EB Games.
• Star Trek: Legacy (360, PC) - A space combat game spanning the entire history of the franchise, from the original series up to Enterprise. $59.99 on the 360, $39.99 on PC.
• Fight Night Round 3 (PS3) - Promises to be even sweatier than the 360 version. $59.99 at EB Games.
• Full Auto 2: Battlelines (PS3) - I seem to recall the first game in this car combat series getting a kind of "eh" reaction, but maybe they learned from their mistakes for the sequel. $59.99 at EB Games.
• WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2007 (PSP) - This one sports a "brand new Analog Control System", apparently. $49.99 at EB Games.
• Star Wars: Lethal Alliance (PSP) - The first Star Wars game built exclusively for handhelds, for better or worse. DS version ships next week. $39.99 at EB Games.

It should be noted that this week also sees the release of Zatch Bell: Mamodo Fury, what Gamasutra is calling the last third-party title on the Gamecube, and next week's release of the Cube version of Twilight Princess will be the last game on the system period. You may wish to hold a funeral for the little guy. Make sure the casket has a handle.
