Industry and multi-console news:
- Detroit Tigers picther Joel Zumaya's recent wrist injury came about from too much Guitar Hero.
- Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell let slip Assassin's Creed plot secrets in a recent interview.
- Sega is going to bring House of the Dead 4 Special theater cabinets to America, though likely in only a handful of giant arcades. The unit features surround sound, a 270 degree vibrating pivot seat and air blasts that hit you every time you're hit in-game. A video of the machine in action can be seen here.
- USA Today claims some retailers will be "trapping inventory" to be sold on Sunday, meaning people may actually camp out for PS3s and Wiis again on Saturday.
- A string of burlgaries in New England have targetted EB Games stores, and specifically, PS3 and 360 units. Police warn they may switch to targeting the homes of people with these systems next, though I'd imagine that's much more of a crapshoot.
PC news:
- Christian groups are campaigning to get another game yanked from Wal-Mart shelves, but this time, it's fundie Christian title Left Behind.
Nintendo news:
- Military Madness will be Hudson's next Virtual Console game.
- 270,000 Wii remotes were sold in November in the US, making it the best selling peripheral for the month.
- Totaka's Song has been found again, this time in Luigi's Mansion.
- Someone has worked out how to play Everquest 2 with Wii remotes. The next five years is just going to be a long string of "I can use ______ with my Wii remote!" isn't it?
- The Wii has broken previous records for biggest launch in Australian history.
Sony news:
- Sony continues to maintain that 2 million PS3s by the end of the year is "within our reach."
- Phil Harrison has named some of the updates and new features one can expect in March's PS3 firmware upgrade. This is coming from a post on the PS3Forums, so don't completely buy into it until there's some confirmation.
- Sony admits the "All I want for Xmas is a PSP" viral campaign was "poorly executed."
- Final Fantasy XII sold 896,000 units in the month of November.
Microsoft news:
- Rainbow Six Vegas has finally been patched.
- Capcom will be fixing a list of multiplayer problems with Lost Planet when the game goes to retail. Some fixes will be in the final, others will be in a patch available on launch day.
- The mulitplayer design lead behind Halo 2 and Halo 3 has formed his own studio.
- Video: Gears of War has a jump glitch. Actually, it's more like a boost forward glitch.
- A rumor claims a seven minute video discussing the role of Brutes in Halo 3 will debut on the Marketplace on December 20. Remember: Rumor.
- GamesCentral.com has a walkthrough of the installation process for the 360 HD-DVD drive, as well as demonstrating the features of HD-DVD movies and comparison shots between DVD and HD-DVD versions.

The whole "HAY LOOK WHAT THE WIIMOTE CAN DO" spiel will probably last till the end of time, just like the NES case mods.

I really don't see the appeal in playing PC games with the Wii remote. I mean, sure, it's a revolution for consoles, but surely a mouse and keyboard do that kind of job as well already.
