New Releases for 02-05-07

  • Diddy Kong Racing DS (DS) - A "remastered" version of the N64 game, with added content and the two original Rare characters -- Banjo and Conker -- removed. $29.99 at Amazon.
  • Final Fantasy VI Advance (GBA) - Buy it for the 28th time and see if Celes still takes a "leap of faith." We already know that "son of a submariner" won't be in, which you can take as a plus or minus depending on your perspective. $29.99 at Amazon.
  • Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 (PS2, 360, PSP, DS) - The only game in the Winning Eleven series to rhyme with itself! This kind of opportunity won't come around again for 20 years! $39.99 for the PS2 and PSP; add ten for the 360, subtract ten for the DS.
  • The Sims Life Stories (PC) - Go to EB, ask if there are any new Sims games, wait for the clerk to pull this one out, then scream I DIDN'T ASK FOR YOUR LIFE STORY. Oh man, you totally zinged him. $36.99 at Amazon.
  • Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia (PS2) - Another low-profile Japanese RPG I hadn't heard about until this moment. From Gust, the makers of the Atelier series. $49.82 at Amazon.
  • Lunar Knights (DS) - An action RPG from Kojima Productions in a "gothic sci-fi" setting. $29.82 at Amazon.
  • Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI (PS2) - "Based on the 120 chapter novel that recounts the near collapse of China at the end of the Han Dynasty and the fateful events that followed during the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D." Woo! $39.99 at Amazon.
  • Capcom Puzzle World (PSP) - Features Super Puzzle Fighter II, Block Block, and the Buster Bros. Collection. Oddly, it's the first PSP game to feature the ability to take screenshots. $26.82 at Amazon.

Pick over whatever's left of the US release list or just laugh at the Europeans for only now getting Okami at Gamasutra.
