New Releases for 02-19-07

All the news sites said Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner was coming out last week. Now they show that it's coming out this week. Why is it so damned hard for anybody to keep this crap in line?

  • Crackdown (360) - Hey, this Halo 3 beta invite comes with a game! Lol guys, lol! $59.99 at Amazon.
  • Sonic and the Secret Rings (Wii) - Sega provides a brief respite from the Wii dry spell with a Sonic game that might not suck. $44.99 at Amazon.
  • NBA Street Homecourt (360) - "Creates a hyper-real world that merges legendary courts with the hometown courts of your favorite NBA stars into one seamless city of streetball moments." We built this city on streetball moments. $59.69 at Amazon.
  • Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3) - Features two new characters: Monkey Kung Fu master Eileen and Mexican wrestler El Blaze. Any game with a Mexican wrestler is an automatic buy. Children are pure. They know who's the strongest. $54.99 at Amazon.

  • Trioncube (DS) - Another odd looking puzzle game from the producer of Mr. Driller. $19.99 at Amazon.
  • War Front: Turning Point (PC) - Another alternate timeline WWII game, this time looking at what would've happened if Hitler had been assassinated early in the war. You'd think that would end things quicker, but apparently it inspires Germany to put weird superweapons into development. Oh God Hitler is dead what willWE NEED JETPACKS $39.99 at Amazon.
  • Metal Slug Anthology (PSP) - Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4 and Metal Slug 5, all with wireless two player. $39.82 at Amazon.

There are a few stragglers left off the list, mostly PC games with thrilling titles like UFO: Extraterrestrials. The full release list is here.
