Everyone's either hungover or mired in depression after watching Robbie Maddison stubbornly refuse to crash and die during his record-setting bike jump last night, so there's not much news about. Instead, here's a comic (click the image for the full page) about Judge Dredd beating up old men and kids because they own a Sega Genesis.
Industry and multi-console news
- 1up has more of their video interview with Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono, talking about how his history at Capcom and how SFIV came together. He also mentions that he's been looking at the script for the new Street Fighter movie, and that it's "definitely poised to be much better" than the first one.
- Purchase pure, undistilled irony by buying a copy of GTA3 signed by Jack Thompson.
- While there's no tutorial or step-by-step instructions, there are 10 pages of photos showing how one man made his own Ms. Pac-Man cocktail cabinet.

- The Wii has been hacked to run homebrew code, but the problem isn't fully solved yet.
- Toys R Us is offering a $700 Wii bundle that contains the system and 10 games, most of which no one wants.
- Game|Life warns that the Psyclone Wii Recharge Station can damage Wii remotes if they are left in the charger too long.
- A library in Cape Coral, Florida is using Wiis to draw kids in to the library. "If each kid plays for 15 minutes, the rest of the kids are going to be waiting and they're going be talking. They're going to be picking up books." No, they're mostly just going to be talking.
- Destructoid has scans of the Super Mario Bros. movie children's book. It's basically a quick version of the story with big stills from the movie.

- Rumors say that Microsoft will compensate Gold members who couldn't access Live during the holiday downtime, though how exactly they'll do that is unclear.
- Likewise in the realm of the unverifiable, the MGS4 on the 360 rumor has come around again, this time claiming that the game will be released 12 - 14 months after the PS3 version.
