- 1up has released another video interview with Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono, this time talking about 2D vs. 3D and what he didn't want to change when making this new installment.
- Two former programmers for the Hitman series have moved on to casual games.
- Midway chairman Kenneth D. Cron has resigned.
- IGN has the latest UK sales charts.
- NeoGAF has new scans and info on Alone in the Dark: Near Death Investigation.
- Gamasutra has an interview with David Perry about his various projects.
- Game Career Guide has an article on the fine art of game balance.
- Ubisoft is delaying three titles into fiscal 2008: Far Cry 2, Tom Clancy's EndWar and Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway.
- The Brainy Gamer lists the best five under-the-radar games of 2007. These same few keep showing up on all the "best overlooked games" lists, so I guess the point is you really need to try these games.
- Pepsi is sponsoring an educational video game to fight childhood obesity in Mexico. The logic involved is kind of.. weird. "'It isn't about whether soda is good or bad for you,' he said. 'Here 80% of schools don't have drinking water so if there were no soda either what would the kids drink?'"
- The CEO of WildTangent talks about the important difference between around-game advertising and in-game advertising.
- Warren Spector talks about two games he's enjoying recently: Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass and Rock Band. "It might actually make me a better musician, which kinda freaks me out."
- The Dezaemon 2 Game Save Manager has been released. Dezaemon 2 was a Saturn game that let you make your own 2D shooters, and this save manager allows you to load other people's creations into your memory card to play them. The manager comes preloaded with 118 games.

- Next Generation has a short interview with Funcom about Age of Conan.
- The full version of Universal Combat has been released as freeware.
- Nvidia has put out a new ForceWare Beta Release driver specifically targeting Unreal Tournament 3.
- Technology Review has an article about the continued issue of financial scams in MMOs.
- PocketGamer lists the top ten mobile gaming trends in 2007.
- GamePolitics covers the Ron Paul World of Warcraft march. "Complaints were voiced that the march was causing lag."
- The iPhone port of Doom has been updated. Now the game even has controls! What will they think of next!

New media: No More Heroes screenshots
- Reggie Fils-Aime told the New York Times that "complete" DS games will be downloadable via the Wii.
- A Nintendo customer service rep has said that Nintendo is no longer restocking Wavebirds.
- A system modder was commissioned to make a Clerks-themed Wii for Kevin Smith for Christmas. You can see the results at the link.
- This week's Zero Punctuation review is Super Mario Galaxy.
- Amazon has My Word Coach marked down to $29.99 and I just can't imagine why.

- Bill Gates is supposedly going to drop an "important announcement" regarding the 360 at CES this weekend.
- Dean Takahashi has had to apologize for his harsh Mass Effect review, now that he realizes he was having such a tough time because he wasn't assigning any of his talent points. I know we all make mistakes but how in the Goddamn do you miss that.
- Mark Rein says that Epic doesn't have a firm release date for Unreal Tournament 3 on the 360.
- The upcoming Gears of War prequel novel is called Gears of War: The Pendulum Wars.
- Amazon has Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 on sale for $29.99.
