New Releases for 02-04-08
Turok is on the release list again for the 360, PS3, and PC, and I think it's really coming out this time. Other releases that don't involve punching dinosaurs in the face are:
- Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles (DS) - What they don't tell you is that after every mission you're forced to put down the DS and then walk very slowly to your bed. $29.99 at Amazon.
- Devil May Cry 4 (PS3, 360) - A hotly anticipated title you can finally stop waiting for and start complaining about. $59.99 for PS3 or 360, and there's also a Collector's Edition for either system for $79.99.
- Culdcept Saga (360) - A card battle/board game mix that also features the adventure of reading. $39.99 at Amazon.
- Sins of a Solar Empire (PC) - A real time strategy game in which you must construct Space Confessionals to harvest the energy of the future, Space Sins. $39.99 at Amazon, also available in a collector's edition.
- Twisted Metal: Head On Extra Twisted Edition (PS2) - Yet another PSP to PS2 port, but this version has extra twisting or something. $19.99 at Amazon.
- Downstream Panic (PSP) - A Lemmings-esque puzzle game involving leading lost fish back to sea. $29.95 at Amazon.
- Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore (360, Wii, PS2) - The only game powerful enough to bring together the forces of Karaoke Revolution and American Idol is back. Bundles run at $69.99 for the 360, $59.99 for the Wii, and $49.99 for the PS2.
- Nobunaga's Ambition: Rise to Power (PS2) - The first Nobunaga's Ambition title to come to America in over ten years. $39.99 at Amazon.
- The Spiderwick Chronicles (360, PS2, PC, DS) - Based on a movie (based on a series of books) that won't be out for another week. A Wii version is coming in March. $49.99 on the 360, $39.99 on the PS2, $29.99 on the DS, $19.99, and about ten bucks to just buy the damned book.
A number of lower-tier games crowd the bottom of the list, from My Horse and Me to Merv Griffin's Crosswords. See the full list at Gamasutra.
