The Error Macro Video Gallery - Alternate Takes

The MUGEN fighting game engine was basically made for people to create match-ups they'd never see in real life (though admittedly, 15 years ago you'd have "Sonic and Mario" on that list). The trailer below is for Card Sagas Wars, a fan-made game that takes the concept and runs with it, creating what is described most simply as a 2D Smash Bros. With Cloud. And Chun-Li. And Ivy. And KOS-MOS and Mega Man and Master Chief.

More videos after the jump, unless you clicked on a link directly to this post, in which case there is no jump and this sentence is strange and frightening to you.

The love of messing with things in sets of 1000 in the Crysis engine continues. Here someone sets off 1000 nuclear explosions, which come packaged in handy barrel form in the game.

Guaranteed to either get stuck in your head or annoy the hell out of you, Kirby's theme remixed with sound effects from Smash Bros.

Me, I've always preferred the simple beauty of how well Snoop Dogg's Drop It Like It's Hot syncs with Kirby's theme.

Crysis videos aren't always about blowing stuff up, just 99% of the time. Occasionally they can just be about good clean fun with water.

They really missed out on something by not making this a genuine feature of the game. Through some glitch, a player in Call of Duty 4 respawns as a flag, complete with gun. Those things are sick of being manhandled by every grubby-fingered soldier that wanders by.

Finally, a student film from France called Mauvais RĂ´le, about a video game enemy who goes looking for a change in careers. BoingBoing TV sucks for having an ad in the middle of it, but it's easy enough to skip.
