- That same issue of Famitsu also reveals a new character for Soul Calibur IV.
- BioShock 2 has been officially announced, aimed at the fourth quarter of Take-Two's 2009 financial year. Ken Levine is confirmed to be involved.
- In the same conference call, it was announced that Borderlands and Midnight Club: Los Angeles have been delayed.
- Oh, and Rockstar is working on "at least one major sequel for 2009." Woo let's go Table Tennis 2
- Harmonix filed suit against Activision for unpaid royalties on Monday, only to withdraw it the next day in favor of settling the issue out of court.
- Next Generation has an interview with Neversoft studio director Scott Pease.
- The people at Bioware say they plan to improve the side quests in Mass Effect 2.
- Hideo Kojima is now working on a new title outside the Metal Gear universe.
- Capcom has finally announced Lost Planet: Colonies, and it's an updated version of the original game rather than a sequel. Follow the link for single player and multiplayer gameplay trailers.
- Gibson claims that Guitar Hero violates a patent they have on technology that simulates a musical performance. But... Guitar Hero has had Gibson guitars in it.

- EA has attempted to explain why different regions can't play online together in Army of Two. "When playing in Versus mode 3 people can be highly adversely affected by one player with a bad connection. We use the region lock to minimize the likelihood of this occurring."
- NPD research finds that hardcore gamers spend most of their money on non-gaming entertainment.

- Mario Kart Wii has been given an April 27 release date in the US.
- Wacky Races: Crash & Dash has been announced for the DS and Wii, to be played by kids too young to remember Wacky Races.
- A full-featured music creation package called Korg DS-10 has been announced for the DS. As you might imagine, if you know about these sorts of things anyway, it's based on Korg's MS-10 synthesizer.
- A video has been released showing an early test version of a hack to add four players to Ocarina of Time.
- A bubble wrap popping game has been announced for WiiWare. No no, wait, it gets better: The game is based on a keychain toy that simulates bubble wrap popping. Watch this Flash ad for the toy, I Goddamn dare you.
- Eurogamer presses on with part 3 of their feature on cult classics on the Gamecube.

- Live Gold members who buy Commando 3 will gain free access to the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix beta.
- Guilty Gear 2: Overture will be hitting 360s in the US in the third quarter of this year.
- KontrolFreek is planning to release an add-on for the 360 controller that increases the height of the thumbsticks. This supposedly allows for greater accuracy.
- Capcom is testing some super-secret game for the 360 and no one knows what it is. Naturally, tell the Internet that it can't know something, and watch it go to work. People are digging up pictures of the test in progress and.. well, I still can't tell what that is.

oh good i was thinking to myself "what the hell is street fighter missing" and the conclusion i came to was that it did not have enough wrestlers
i mean, it's got a sumo wrestler, and a soviet wrestler, and R. Mika, but THROWS ARE REALLY EXCITING TO DO IN A UNIVERSE POPULATED BY FIREBALL THROWING DUDES YOU GUYS
