- RealNetworks' Chris Houtzer calls casual gaming "the new daytime TV."
- Acer has denied recent rumors, saying they have no plans to make a game machine. They were simply talking about a high-end PC targeted at hardcore gamers.

- Atari UK has announced Driving Theory Training, a DS title that teaches you "driving theory" and highway laws.
- The guy who wrote about that pirate version of Final Fantasy VII for the Famicom is back with a review of the equally pirate Titanic 1912, also on the Famicom.
- Some people have argued that No More Heroes is the video game equivolent of punk, while others say it's not. "No More Heroes is not the title to overturn genre conventions and raise its fist at the authorities. But it comes close. In fact, No More Heroes is an effigy. It is jest and parody."
- That Videogame Blog offers evidence to counter the claim that third party games never do well on the Wii by listing third party Wii games that have sold more than one million copies.

New content: Need for Speed ProStreet tracks and cars
- In a Gamasutra interview, the makers of N+ rant about the lack of quality on Xbox Live Arcade. "Those decisions that are ruining Live Arcade... it's like, who greenlit Word Puzzle? Who green-lit that hoverboard game that's just shit?"
- Reports from the Battlefield: Bad Company beta say that individual weapons are available for sale on the Marketplace.
- Lionhead has released their fifth Fable 2 developer diary.
- Bully has been patched, but it's not clear whether it actually fixes the issues some people had with the game.
- Bungie is auctioning off a signed Halo 3 Mountain Dew machine that's been sitting in their office. And it was never used, zing.
