The Error Macro Video Gallery - Spottin' Bugs Bought This Van

What was it like being a tester for the Playstation in the mid-'90s? Apparently, it was a haze of overtime and bad hair. This video from one of the Playstation Underground CDs features conversations with some of SCEA's testers as well as Warhawk and Twisted Metal producer Mike Giam. Appearances by Jet Moto 2, Final Fantasy VII and Armored Core put this at somewhere around fall of 1997.

On the subject of Twisted Metal, Playstation Underground also has video of an interview with David Jaffe from 1996, talking about TM2 and looking very young.

Did you know that even someone as hapless and ignorant as yourself can fix a seemingly broken NES? It's true! Most of the time the problem is nothing more complex than an old 72-pin connector with some bent pins. In this video, Chris Kohler from Wired's Game|Life and his brother Dan show you how to replace the connector with a new one you can get for a couple bucks off Ebay. All it takes is five hours of unscrewing.

Mr. Owl, how long does it take to quit out of the PC version of Assassin's Creed? Hint: If it's longer than 10 seconds, the answer is Too Long.

Brawl videos are really old by now, but I don't give a damn. Here's a collection of replays demonstrating different ways to goof off with custom stages, including a riveting performance by the Game & Watch Band.

This is actually a Melee video, but I still don't give a damn. It should be written into law that any all-Falcon fight is required to be played this way.

Meanwhile, on the 360, the temporary love affair with Halo 3 suicide videos has given way to the new and exciting realm of Halo 3 weird chance betrayal videos.

While not a betrayal, it's the same concept (but presumably more satisfying): A weird chance triple kill.

During a routine shopping trip, Link runs up against the number one obstacle facing all silent protagonists.

Finally, the debut episode of BBC2's The Net, from April 1994. Covers a range of topics from Neo Nazi BBSes to Thomas Dolby discussing dynamic game music (a forward-thinking idea, but he seemed to fall under the delusion of a lot of mainstream types that Double Switch kinds of FMV games were the future). There's also a segment on how one connects to the Internet, utilizing the blazing power of British ISP CIX and a 14.4 modem.
