To celebrate the two Guitar Hero performances that will be going on at this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, Activision has decorated the island's Jimi Hendrix statue to look like he's using a Guitar Hero controller. Stay classy, you guys!

- Call of Duty 5 is going back to World War II, focusing on the Pacific Theater. "The direction for the team was to make the best game they could, and as they were doing this they created a grittiness that quite frankly made some people very uncomfortable...This is a scarier Call of Duty than we've ever seen."
- The new UK sales chart sees Lego Indiana Jones debuting at number one.
- Flying Lab Software producer Joe Ludwig examines why there aren't more console MMOs.

- 2K Games has announced Civilization IV: Colonization for release this fall. Despite the name, it's not an expansion and won't require the original Civ 4.
- Super Monkey Ball for the iPhone made an appearance at Apple's WWDC keynote, with video.
- Waxy.org is in the process of digitizing and uploading The Machine that Changed the World, a 1992 documentary on computers. "It's a whirlwind tour of computing before the Web, with brilliant archival footage and interviews with key players — several of whom passed away since the filming." The first two parts are up now.

- Seems like the best way to get a copy of MGS4 early is to be in Kuwait, where one store is already selling it from a stack of 500 copies.

New content: Enemy Territory: Quake Wars demo
- This week's Live Arcade titles will be Commando 3 and Frogger 2. A sequel to Frogger, for Christ's sake.
- Salad Hats has scans of GamePro's Halo Wars article.
- There were rumors over the weekend that Microsoft was going to debut a Blu-ray enabled 360 today, but they obviously weren't true. Microsoft has once again reiterated that nothing like that is planned for the immediate future.
- Pre-ordering Too Human gets you five sets of bonus armor. Thrilling.
- Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath is coming to the 360 on June 23.
- Robbie Bach is confident the 360 will be profitable this year.
- Microsoft will be having an event tomorrow in Japan to show off their line-up of 360 JRPGs.
- Amazon's deal of the day is a sale on 360 hard drives: the 20GB for $64.99 or the 120GB for $134.99.
