- Take Two is fighting an FTC investigation regarding EA's buyout offer. Take Two says the FTC's requests are too broad and places an undue burden on the company.
- Gamasutra has an interview with Akira Yamaoka about Silent Hill: Homecoming and the choice of using a western developer.
- Lord of the Rings Online developer Turbine is strongly suggesting that console development could be in their future.
- Flags of Our Fathers actor Adam Beach will be starring in a live-action Turok movie. You'll never guess why. “He’s the first Native American superhero that I ever looked up to."
- GameVideos has a video interview with the producer of Resident Evil 5.
- According to an Information Solutions survey, one in five casual game players has a physical, mental or developmental disability compared to 15% of the general population. Gotta do something while waiting to die.
- Lamont Pete Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions are teaming up for what will surely be a fantastic and not at all horribly embarrassing new reality show: America's Next Best Game Designer. "Seeking all types of people from quirky to cool and nerdy to sexy, we're looking for you!"

PC and mobile news
New media: Line Rider 2 trailer
- The system requirements for Spore have been revealed.
- Also, Maxis has opened up Sporepedia, a website containing (as of this moment) 210 different creatures people have made with the Creature Editor so far. No, the editor isn't available yet; you can tell by the account names that the people who have already made creatures are Maxis or EA employees, or journalists.
- Gamasutra has an Audiosurf postmortem.
- An audio and gameplay programmer at Flagship Studios says that staff is leaving "in droves."
- Majesco has announced a casual PC title called Orchard.
- Penny Arcade Adventure: Episode One is now available on Steam.
- File Planet now offers a free, ad-supported version of Psi-Ops.
- Game Plasma notes that point-and-click adventure game Limbo of the Lost has several environments taken directly from Oblivion. Not simply inspired, they look exactly the same.
- Oregon Trail is now available for mobile phones.
- Despite everyone else calling it anything from a disappointment to a failure, NCSoft says Tabula Rasa is doing fine.
Nintendo news
- You may be aware of a video getting around the Internet that some guy took of his girlfriend shaking her ass on a Wii Fit board while playing the hula hoop minigame. It was called "Why every guy should buy his girlfriend Wii Fit." Both the guy and his girlfriend are in marketing, which naturally raised suspicions, but both they and Nintendo say it was not a viral ad and Nintendo had nothing to do with it.
- Amazon has Smash Bros. Brawl for $39.99, and they're currently offering a $10 gift card when you order on top of that.
Sony news
- In light of the recent stabbing attack in Akihabara, Konami has canceled three MGS4 launch events in Tokyo, due to concerns over "safety of large crowds."
- To contrast the recent list of the ten worst Playstation ads, here's a list of the ten best.
- Wal-Mart has confirmed that their $100 gift card deal will work for PS3s, including the MGS4 bundle.
- GameTrailers has put up part five of their Metal Gear retrospective.
- The first gameplay footage of Resistance 2 will be shown on GameTrailers TV this Friday.
- The newest issue of Game Informer has details on Infamous.
- Amazon has Ninja Gaiden Sigma for $39.99.

- Guilty Gear XX and Legend of Spyro will be available as Xbox Originals on June 16.
- The chief analyst at IT research company Gartner claims that the high numbers of red ringed 360s can be blamed on Microsoft choosing to design their own graphics chip rather than use a third party.
- The box for Unreal Tournament III on the 360 mentions "exclusive Gears of War 2 video content" on the disc.
- Amazon's deal of the day is the 360 Play & Charge Kit with black controller for $44.99.
