• DC will be producing a limited series comic based on Mirror's Edge.
• Epic says Unreal Engine 4 will debut in the next console generation.
• EA producer Nick Channon says that an open-world approach to Mirror's Edge would have watered it down. "I think a lot of people think nowadays that open world is the way to go, and it's the next-gen thing. You know, I don't believe it is. It's clearly right for some games, absolutely, but you can actually get a lot more in at times with more of a level-based [structure]."

I can't decide if the following is unpleasantly chauvinistic or just indicative of how game developers continue to treat character relationships like levels to be completed: "In fact, he can 'get' all of the game’s women if he wanted to. Rucinski told me it was possible to have sex with all the females, and that the sex scenes were similar to how 'Mass Effect' treated its intimate moments. ... And although the women are integral to the story, there’s no need to interact with them beyond missions."

• KH Insider has translated whatever information there is to be had on the recently opened Japanese Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days website. An ad in the instruction booklet for Dragon Quest V also suggests that 358/2 Days is coming this year in Japan.
• Nintendo has debuted a bonus content feature in the Wii Shop Channel in Japan. It could be used to redeem codes for extra stuff in the future.
