New media: Armored Core for Answer trailer

  • Lawyer Vincent Scheurer spoke at the 2008 Develop Conference and Expo about the dangers of the UK's ratings system. He notes that Manhunt 2 was banned for vague reasons like "unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone" without having humor or puzzle elements strong enough to alleviate it. "Call of Duty and BioShock could be banned under that criteria… The next game to be banned could be BioShock 2, and then where would we be?"

We don't believe in throwing in something that can’t go head to head with the big boys. No applicants will be considered who aren't able to demonstrate they've got the skills to build an industry-changing multiplayer design."
  • Sega has filed a new trademark for Jet Grind Radio, but don't get your hopes up.You may recall they filed a new Dreamcast trademark a while back too, it's just a way of protecting their property. ..Or it's all a conspiracy.
  • Following Colbert Nation's video of Rush failing out of their own song in Rock Band, they have a new video of rapper Nas giving it a try.
  • Rolling Stone reports that Guitar Hero: Aerosmith sold 567,000 units in its first week. Though it may not be a fair comparison to make, their last album sold 160,500 its first week.
  • Sony Pictures says the delay caused by the Ghostbusters game losing its publisher has presented them with an opportunity to possibly position its release to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the movie in 2009.
